Would you send your daughter to school without tampons or sanitary towels during their periods?

Sadly, for many girls in Kenya, this is a reality every month as their families struggle to clothe and feed them, leaving no surplus money for basics such as sanitary towels. The only solution for these girls is to make do with pieces of blanket, rags or even bits of old foam mattresses. Not surprisingly, many decide to stay at home and absenteeism can be very high resulting in girls receiving up to 25% less schooling than boys.

Our aim is to help as many of these girls as possible to stay in school during their periods by providing sanitary towels and underwear to those in most need.

“On average, girls lose out on 288 lessons every year due to lack of materials to manage menstruation.”
